Curriculum and Instruction
Purposeful Planning | Intentional Instruction | Exceptional Eagles
The mission of the Teaching and Learning Department at Faith Family Academy is to ensure all teachers are equipped and supported in meeting the established FFA Goals and Objectives. We have embraced a blended learning environment with Master Teachers that utilize our Common Instructional Framework. The Master Teacher Model ensures that all students have access to the best teachers on campus and receive the highest quality of instruction daily, as outlined through the Common Instructional Framework. The Common Instructional Framework serves two purposes.
- It supports individual teacher growth in their craft of teaching by focusing on student learning rather than prescriptive teaching of pre-determined district designed lessons that are not reflective of individualized student learning and growth.
- It frames instructional expectations that are research-based, best practices that teach our students the skills needed to compete in the 21st century:
- Critical Thinkers
- Creativity
- Grit
- Life-long learners
In addition, both our teachers and students maintain digital portfolios through our Learning Management System to reinforce and track 21st Century Skills. It is essential that we not only embrace but support Next Gen Learning!
FFA Goals and Objectives
- Encourage students of all ages to become life-long learners by providing curriculum and instruction that challenges individual scholars to expand their knowledge and enrich their educational experience.
- Enhance the learning environment by establishing rigorous standards in the core academic areas including technology and fine arts as well as promoting excellence in character education, civic responsibility and community outreach.
- Expand the partnership between teachers, parents and students to encourage enhanced communication, collaboration and cooperation in establishing and sustaining academic excellence.
- Promote an environment that encourages each adult and student to maximize their potential by engaging in a continuous improvement model of instruction designed to meet the unique needs of each individual.
