New Club Sport Program to Begin Competition in Spring 2022

The Faith Family Academy Rugby Club will compete against local school clubs, including Jesuit Preparatory School, Great Hearts Irving, and Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep, as well as multi-school clubs Dallas Youth Rugby, North Texas Rugby Football, Allen Eagle Rugby, Plano Rugby, Alliance Rugby, Panther City Rugby and Celina Rugby.

The new program will be led by Jeff Robertson, Director of Rugby and Boys Rugby Head Coach. With his extensive rugby club experience in DFW, Robertson is charged with building a top-tier rugby program for Kindergarten-12th grade boys and girls.

Coach Robertson has been an active member of Dallas Rugby Club as both a player and administrator, serving as Club President since 2019. During his time as President, Dallas Rugby has become the largest adult rugby club in the U.S., with four men's sides and a women's side, and has grown its youth program from a handful of kids to nearly 100 last season.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to bring boys and girls rugby to Faith Family Academy," said Coach Robertson. "This school district's commitment to excellence in the classroom and in competition is incredible."

Rugby is yet another way Faith Family Academy provides students in Dallas and across North Texas the opportunity for personal expression and growth. Through participation and competition students learn to expand their abilities as they excel both in and out of the classroom.
