The Moody Foundation has awarded $92,159 to Waxahachie Faith Family Academy to install an inclusive, age-appropriate playground at the Faith Family MASTER Academy campus in Waxahachie, TX. This is a huge step towards our goal of raising $150,000 to provide an engaging, interactive play environment for all of our students.

The new playground will support student learning as a part of the school's new MASTER Academy model that integrates Math, Art, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Research. The playground will incorporate inclusive, age-appropriate equipment that will significantly increase children's physical activity and active play; improve their physical fitness and lifelong health; and increase academic success on grades and state standardized tests.

This new playground is a part of The Moody Foundation's efforts to strengthen the future of Texas by investing in charitable projects that exhibit innovative ideas and make long-term improvement in our communities. As a charter school, Faith Family Academy students come from multiple cities surrounding Waxahachie, including Dallas, Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Ennis, Glenn Heights, Hutchins, Italy, Lancaster, Maypearl, Midlothian, Palmer, and Red Oak. As a result, the playground will impact up to 5,400 underserved children from up to 16 different municipalities in the south Dallas area over the next 10 years.
