The Eagles baseball team pulled off a big win against AW Brown on Wednesday night, keeping their playoff hopes alive. Read more for a full recap and photos.
Looking to keep their playoff hopes alive, your Faith Family Academy Waxahachie Eagles hosted the Eagles of AW Brown last night at Lewis Field. Action began early as the FFA Eagles sent Timothy Grant to the mound. Grant was effectively wild in the top of the first working his way out of a one out bases loaded jam. In the bottom half of the first, your Eagles managed to score 5 runs with patient at bats, quality base running and timely hitting. The game would get wild from there, as Grant allowed 4 runs in the top of the second while only recording one out. This led to the season pitching debut of Roland Brown, who held his composure and managed to get two huge outs to keep AW Brown at bay 5-4! In the bottom half of the second, Faith Family Academy managed to score one more run just as time expired bringing the final score to 6-4 and a season record of 3-1-2.
Your Faith Family Academy Eagles continue their season with a non division game on Monday at 6:30pm against the International Leadership of Texas Garland Eagles in the Colony, followed by the season finale and division showdown against International Leadership of Texas Grand Prairie Eagles on Tuesday at a site and time still to be determined.
